The Appleton Police Department has two adult males in custody for a sexual assault occurring this morning on the city’s south side.

On October 8, 2017, at 12:27AM, Appleton Police Department officers responded to the report of a sexual assault of an adult female at a residence in the 2200 block of S. Oneida Street. The person reporting the assault said multiple male suspects had fled the residence in a vehicle.
Responding officers put out a description of the suspects and vehicle to local law enforcement agencies. Within minutes, the vehicle was stopped by a Fox Crossing Police Department officer.  The suspects were taken into custody without incident.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.  She has been treated and released.

While the investigation in ongoing, two adult males (ages 22 and 25) are in the custody of the Appleton Police Department.  We are not looking for additional suspects and there is no immediate danger to the general public.  The suspects will be confined later today at the Calumet County Jail.
