Appleton Police and U.S. Marshals Assist in Location of Missing Child (posted May 2, 2013)
On 05/02/13, the Appleton Police Department was able to resolve an investigation into a child missing from the Appleton area since January 24, 2013. The child, who was unharmed, is now in protective custody, pending follow-up investigations related to his well-being.
The investigation, which resulted in the return of the child, involved members of the Appleton Police Department and U.S. Marshals Service working with individuals across the country. They were able to locate the child and ensure not only the child’s welfare, but safe return. The incident has attracted a great deal of attention after posters of the child and his mother were disseminated by The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Wisconsin Clearinghouse for Missing & Exploited Children & Adults, and Childsearch.org.
After the child was returned to the Appleton Police Department, Holy Waters Brecheen (f/w, 10/07/85) was taken into custody and was confined on a warrant for Interference with Child Custody at the Outagamie County Jail.
