Citywide Tree and Branch Cleanup

CITYWIDE TREE AND BRANCH CLEANUP

As a result of the strong storms on July 19th and 20th, Appleton Public Works crews will be collecting tree and branch debris from terraces throughout the entire City.

Collection will start on Monday, July 29 and all debris will need to be on the terrace by Sunday, July 28 at 10:00 PM.  Residents will need to have this material on the terrace at that time as only one pick up will be conducted.

During this special collection, trees need to be cut to a maximum of 8 feet in length.  Large items (greater than 4 inches in diameter) do not need to be bundled.  Smaller branches, twigs and yard waste need to be bundled or placed in lawn bags and weigh less than 45 pounds each.

Reminder that yard debris (trees, branches, etc.) can be taken directly to one of the two yard waste sites in the city (2625 E. Glendale Ave. and 701 S. Whitman Ave.).  Both sites will be open during regular hours Friday through Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.  To help with cleanup, the Glendale Avenue site will be open additional days this week.  Glendale will be open Tuesday, July 23rd through Thursday, July 25th from 9:00 a.m. until 6:45 p.m.

Bulky overflow items will be collected as normal, opposite of your recycling week.

If you have questions, please call the Department of Public Works at 832-5580.
