Sidewalk Poetry Program

Appleton is a vibrant, innovative and well-planned community. Every year the City accepts original poem submissions from residents and students of the Appleton Area School District. Selected poems are then stamped into sidewalk concrete as part of the Public Works Department's sidewalk replacement program.

Poems can be found in locations throughout the historical downtown area, along safe pathways to schools and in residential neighborhoods.
