Thanks to all our residents who have expressed an appreciation or concern for the Mayor’s proposed plan for Erb Park’s pools in the 2016 budget. We want to reiterate that this proposal is subject to approval by the Common Council and explain how the process will work to determine the fate of the pools.

Starting Sunday night, Appleton Department of Public Works crews will begin evening and overnight maintenance work on College Avenue. Work will take place from 8 p.m. - 6 a.m. each night through Thursday morning.

The U.S. Supreme Court has affirmed the photo ID provisions of 2011 Wisconsin Act 23. A photo ID is now required to receive a ballot in all special and regular elections. The Appleton Health Department reports a dead crow found in the City on June 29 tested positive for West Nile virus. This is the first bird that tested positive for West Nile virus in Outagamie County since surveillance for the mosquito-transmitted virus began May 1.
