Exempt Property Information
The ownership and use of your property must fall under one of the specific subsections of the WI Statutes Sec. 70.11 in order to qualify for tax exemption. Most of these subsections require that the property be owned and used by a non-profit entity.
The Property Tax Exemption Request (PR-230) is used by organizations requesting an exemption from property taxes for real property under s70.11, Wisconsin Statutes. To be eligible for exemption for the current year, all forms must be completed, with the additional supporting documents, and submitted to the assessor of the taxation district in which the property is located by March 1st.
