The Appleton Public Arts Committee (APAC) is responsible for implementing the Art in Public Places Policy.  The APAC will create recommendations for the appropriate committee of jurisdiction based upon the proposed project/request.  The recommendation will be forwarded to the Common Council to further the City of Appleton's commitment to the promotion, creation and maintenance of public art as defined in this policy.  The Public Arts Committee is a volunteer committee that works to support the goals and strategies for increasing the prevalence of public art and placemaking on publicly-owned property.  It is important to understand that members will serve in an advisory capacity to the committees of jurisdiction.  The Committee is made up of no more than 7 members that are appointed by the Mayor and will have staggered terms of service.  The Mayor will also appoint the Chair of this committee.
