Project Management
Capital Improvements:
The Facilities Capital Improvements Plan (CIP), funds renovations, additions, and new construction to meet the city’s space needs. Facilities project needs and priorities are formed with City departments. We manage projects to be timely, economical, and appropriate, and also to be in compliance with building codes.
It is advantageous to begin planning as early in the process as possible. After identification of preliminary scope, feasibility and cost the CIP will be prioritized and be placed in the annual budget and are presented to the Common Council for funding approval during the annual budget process.
Major renovation project management:
Develop project scope and options, provides budget estimates, and provides scheduling for renovation projects. Relocation planning is done for affected tenants, along with renovation vs. replacement studies, and design and construction process plans.
Move coordination:
Plans and schedule each move and works with departments to make each move as efficient as possible to ensure a seamless transition.
