Information on Restaurant Manager Certification and Re-certification
IMPORTANT UPDATE: As of November 1, 2016 the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (formerly DHS) is no longer issuing the State Certificate for Certified Food Managers (CFM) or Recertification for Small Business. A recent evaluation of the program has established that successful completion of an approved national food manager's exam is equivalent to holding a valid Wisconsin CFM certificate. Therefore, the extra step of individuals submitting course completion documentation to State has been discontinued.
These businesses offer courses in the Appleton Area:
BAKA Enterprises, Inc.
Fox Valley Technical College (search for sanitation in the upper right hand corner)
Tavern League of Wisconsin
Wisconsin Restaurant Association
Restaurant Manager Certification Documents
Certification involves two steps:
1. Taking and passing an approved exam (exams must be taken in a proctored setting)
2. Posting your Certificate in view of the general public at the licensed establishment
