Specialized Training Instructor
The Appleton Police Department values the importance of maintaining a high level of training for all of our officers. To help maintain this goal officers are provided the opportunity to become instructors in various disciplines. Once an instructor has completed additional training, they can complete State of Wisconsin certification training. Officers can also become instructors in other training areas not certified by the state as well. The following is an example of disciplines trained by Appleton officers:

The Appleton Police Department has over 33 members of the training cadre who regularly instruct their fellow officers during the department’s in-house training and assist community partners in keeping Appleton safe.
