VIPS Program

VIPS
Volunteers In Police Service is a national volunteer program adopted and embraced by the Appleton Police Department.

Our volunteers provide a fabulous gift to the Appleton Police Department. Not only do they provide a great tax savings for our community through service hours, but they also free up officers to “Fight Crime and Solve Problems”.

Our volunteers have been assisted with everything from monitoring motorists’ speed through SpeedWatch, playing the role of McGruff, handling mailings, station tours, conducting research, clerical, translating documents, entering data, creating spreadsheets, coordinating events, designing brochures, and much more.

A criminal background check is completed prior to acceptance into the volunteer program. To learn more about being a volunteer with the Appleton Police Department, please call Beth Jasiak at 920-832-5500.
