The Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade is the largest nighttime parade in the Midwest.

The Parade annually kicks off the holiday season on the Tuesday night just before Thanksgiving. This year the date is set for Tuesday, November 26th. The Parade begins at 7:00 p.m. and moves east on College Avenue from State Street to Drew Street. The Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade annually draws 80,000 spectators to Downtown Appleton. Additionally, a combined audience of more than 100,000 viewers watch the parade via the live television broadcast, rebroadcasts, website, and social media channels produced by WFRV-TV Local 5.

The event is organized by the Appleton Parade Committee, a group of dedicated community volunteers. Follow the Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade on Facebook for news and updates on this year’s event.
